Looking for holiday card writers to spread joy to Seacoast seniors

Seeking holiday card writers
The Alliance for Greater Good is once again seeking to involve community card writing elves in sending warm holiday wishes to assisted living and long-term care facility residents.
Staff from the facilities provide the first names of their residents along with an interesting personal fact or two about each. The Alliance then assigns 8-13 residents to each volunteer card writer with all cards due back by December 13. Card writing elves provide the cards and write the personalized holiday messages, and the Alliance and its volunteers organize and deliver the cards along with some cookies and treats for the residents and hard-working staff of the facilities.
“Not only are the cards and notes appreciated by the hundreds of seniors who receive them, but it turns out to be incredibly meaningful to the many elves and children who write the cards. The joy ripples and impacts far more people than we ever imagined. We are hoping that the community will help us spread joy, hope, and love again this holiday season and show our elderly neighbors how much others care about them.” - Julie Johnson, Alliance President
The Alliance is partnering with five assisted living / long-term care facilities in Portsmouth, Rye, Exeter and Hampton so far this year; other Seacoast area facilities that are interested in participating should contact the Alliance.
