Random Acts of Kindness Day

February 17, 2024

Cookies for First Responders v3.png

Random Acts of Kindness Day occurs every February 17.  It's a day to do small acts of kindness and enjoy the rippling effect it has on others.

This year, the Alliance is coordinating Cookies for First Responders.  We are looking for volunteers to bake cookies as well as volunteers to help us deliver the cookies to local first responders on February 16th- the day before Random Acts of Kindness Day.  All volunteer activities will start at 1:00 PM at the Portsmouth Library.

Volunteer roles include:

  • Bakers- bake two or more dozen cookies and drop them off at the Portsmouth Library.

  • Sorters- sort and prepare trays of cookies.  We will provide food-handling gloves to assist you.

  • Delivery Team- drop off trays to first responders.  We will place you in teams of 2-3 people, including the driver, and provide the address for your assigned first responder locations.  Locations will be within a 30-minute radius from the library.

If you are interested in baking two (or more) dozen cookies and/or sorting and delivering cookies to first responders located in the greater Portsmouth area, please register below.

Registration is limited, so we encourage you to register now.  Registration closes on February 13th.
