Who We Are

Kathryn Garcia

President & Cofounder

Kathryn is one of the co-founders of the Alliance and serves on the board as the President.  She has over 40 years of career work in Parks and Recreation management and has served non-profits in paid and volunteer positions.  Her experience includes oversight and management of natural and cultural resources, facilities, parkways and operational aspects of 63,000 acres of forest and parklands for the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) Massachusetts. 

 

Her career work for the Town of Southborough, increased recreation program revenue by 250%, which propelled the department toward a self-supporting budget.  In Colorado, Kathryn developed community relationships to secure and increase funding by 40% for Fort Collins Council on the Arts and Humanities (FCCAH).  In addition, she served on a volunteer team to secure one tenth of one percent tax-based funding for art in public places in the state of Colorado. 

 

Kathryn served in volunteer board positions for NARA Park in Acton, MA, Bruce Freeman Rail Trail in Concord, MA and Assabet River Rail Trail in Acton, MA where they were able to secure a Town referendum for development of the Acton portion of the trail.

Lisa Vivinetto

Vice President & Cofounder

Lisa is one of the co-founders of the Alliance and serves on the board as the Vice President.  She brings years of experience in corporate training, sales, and marketing to the Alliance.  In March 2010, Lisa was a founding partner of Dynamic Benchmarking, a small software company.  She served as its Chief Sales & Marketing Officer until the partners sold the company in 2019.  Lisa enjoys applying the knowledge she gained in the for-profit world to the Alliance.

 

Lisa is lucky to live in both Portsmouth and Naples, FL with her husband and puppy.

Joanne Wolfe

Treasurer & Cofounder

Joanne is the Treasurer and one of the co-founders of the Alliance.  Her career background was in developing, justifying, and executing budgets in various federal government agencies. She has also served in numerous volunteer capacities over the years, often as treasurer or in other organizational roles.

 

Joanne is excited to have retired with her husband to Portsmouth where both daughters and her granddaughter live and is especially grateful to be able to give back to the local community through the Alliance.

Bonnie Blaisdell

Secretary

Bonnie serves on the board as the Secretary.  She had a 35-year career in elementary and special education in the southern NH area. She was instrumental in creating an award-winning pen pal exchange between elders and school children. Upon retirement, Bonnie’s family moved to Portsmouth where she became involved in the Seacoast Newcomers Club volunteering on their board as co-chair of Community Service.  In this role, she researched local community organizations, made recommendations to the board, and organized several club fundraisers to support the chosen nonprofit.

 

Bonnie’s lifelong passion has involved fostering connections between individuals and encouraging active participation in the local community. Bonnie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, sailing, kayaking, and skiing.

Diane Alie

Beneficiary Selection Director

Diane is Beneficiary Selection Director. She brings strong legal and analytical thinking, nonprofit leadership and collaboration skills to the Alliance. A former attorney, Diane, practiced commercial law and litigation in Boston for a decade prior to transitioning into small business financial and operations management. 

Diane later served as Executive Director for a community education nonprofit where she enjoyed encouraging lifelong learning and creating connections among members of the community, high school students and faculty. During her tenure, Diane recruited 35 new instructors and introduced nearly 50 new courses, increasing participation by 45% to a total of over 700 students, while significantly improving the financial health of the organization.

 

An active board member of the Seacoast Newcomers Club, Diane is Community Service Co-Chair, responsible for researching local nonprofits, presenting recommendations to the board, and organizing club fundraisers to support the annual nonprofit selected by the board.

 

Diane and her husband are grateful to live close to family and friends and enjoy the many outdoor activities our beautiful NH Seacoast area has to offer.

Cheryl Cary

Policies & Procedures Director

Cheryl is the Policies & Procedures Director.  She brings strong organizational skills to the Alliance through her 8 year work history as a Human Resources Director, keeping employee records up to date, guiding annual performance reviews, initiating manager training programs, and participating in Union contract negotiations. She also spent 15 years as an Event Planner handling small meetings to large client conferences with both private and corporate businesses. While living in the Boston area, Cheryl enjoyed singing with a large community chorus for over 20 years, where she managed their membership and served as President.

 

Cheryl came to the Seacoast from California after being taken in by its beauty while here on vacation. She enjoys spending as much time as possible outdoors, kayaking, gardening, and playing golf. Indoors, she enjoys cooking, and tending to her newest passion, oil painting.

Sandra Chororos

Board Member at Large

Sandra brings over 35 years of experience in sales and strategy leadership within the healthcare technology sector. Her most recent role was Co-Founder and SVP of Sales and Marketing for medAppraise, Inc., following a successful 7-year tenure with WebMD Health, where she led the strategy and sales efforts to build their reseller channel.

 

Pledging support to youth development and inclusivity, Sandra served two years on the board of Arts In Reach, an organization focused on providing opportunities for underserved youth. She credits her own camp experience as a child for shaping her life and inspiring her desire to create similar transformative opportunities for AIR teens. 

 

Now residing in Rye, Sandra also contributes to her community as a board member of the Rye Zoning Board of Adjustment.

Linda Fink

Development Director

Linda relocated to the seacoast in 2019 after retiring from Brooks School, a private boarding school in North Andover, Massachusetts, where she dedicated 21 years of service. During her tenure, Linda managed the campus store and student services before transitioning to the admissions office. In this role, her communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills played a key part in supporting all facets of the admission process. Today, she serves on the Board of the Seacoast Newcomers Club.

 

Linda and her husband are embracing all the vibrant experiences life on the seacoast has to offer. Her latest passion is pickleball, and when she's not on the courts, she loves cooking, walking along the beach, exploring new restaurants, and eagerly anticipating future travels.
