Neighbors Nourishing Neighbors

The Alliance for Greater Good is proud to launch Neighbors Nourishing Neighbors, a volunteer-driven initiative dedicated to providing homemade meals to local community fridges throughout the Seacoast region.
Through this program, volunteers prepare and donate ready-to-eat meals for community fridges located in Portsmouth, Exeter, Newmarket, and Kittery. These fridges serve as accessible, judgment-free resources for individuals and families who may need extra support putting food on the table.
To make participation simple and flexible, volunteers can sign up for one of two designated donation days each month through our SignUpGenius page. Food safety, packaging, and drop-off guidelines will be emailed to volunteers after signup.
We welcome a variety of homemade meals—from soups and casseroles to individually portioned dishes. Every meal donated is a meaningful act of kindness that helps nourish our neighbors and strengthen our community.
Neighbors Nourishing Neighbors is also a wonderful opportunity to give back together. Gather your friends, family, coworkers, or neighbors and turn meal preparation into a shared experience rooted in compassion and connection.
How to Participate
-
Sign up for a donation date through SignUpGenius
-
Review the food preparation and packaging guidelines
-
Prepare your homemade meals
-
Drop off donations at one of the participating community fridge locations
We also encourage volunteers to share photos of their meal preparation or fridge drop-offs to help inspire others and celebrate the power of community care.
Together, we can ensure that no neighbor goes without a warm meal.
Please contact Stephanie Russell at sjrb@comcast.net with any questions.
