Celebrate Pink 5K - FUNdraising with My Breast Cancer Support

Phenomenal day at the Celebrate Pink 5K for My Breast Cancer Support!

Celebrate Pink 5K was an incredibly powerful and uplifting day! Graced with sunshine, survivors and supporters walked or ran together with purpose and positivity. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and participants, the Alliance team was a top fundraiser! We more than doubled our fundraising goal, with donations and registrations totaling $5,410! One of the largest teams, we also congratulate two of our runners who medaled in their categories!

Our heartfelt thanks to our generous and caring donors and participants - together we are championing the incredible work of My Breast Cancer Support (“MBCS”) in providing financial and emotional support programs for local breast cancer patients!

MBCS provides financial and emotional support to breast cancer patients and their families on the Seacoast of NH and Southern Maine. Founded by Wendy McCoole, a breast cancer survivor and activist, this year marks their 20th anniversary, with a cumulative impact of $1.445M in patient support! Every dollar donated to MBCS directly contributes to providing financial assistance for local patients, helping patients going through one of the most difficult times of their lives to pay their mortgage/rent, transportation costs or utility bills. 

Last year MBCS awarded 117 individual financial support grants. In addition, MBCS hosts The Thrivers Tribe, a private Facebook group offering advice, information sharing and love to local thrivers and survivors.
