Celebrate Pink Raises $5K for My Breast Cancer Support & Flower Power Brightens the Day for Local Seniors!

Alliance for Greater Good Named Top Fundraising Team, Raising $5,000 for My Breast Cancer Support
Although the Celebrate Pink 5K Run/Walk in Portsmouth was canceled due to weather, our team’s impact was anything but canceled. The Alliance for Greater Good was the highest fundraising team, raising $5,000 and meeting our goal for My Breast Cancer Support.
Every person who signed up, donated, or spread the word helped make this possible. We recently presented a check from our team to My Breast Cancer Support, with all funds raised going directly to patient support. To date they have contributed more than $1.7 million in financial support to patients and families.
My Breast Cancer Support provides financial and emotional support to breast cancer patients and their families on the Seacoast of New Hampshire and in Southern Maine, providing patients help paying for groceries, heating fuel, or rent, as well as offering an online support group.
The kindness and generosity of our donors and team members will be felt by the patients and families this support reaches. Even without a race day, they showed up for this cause, and it made a real difference.

Flower Power Brings the Blooms to Local Seniors!
Prescott Park's beautiful gardens were the source of flowers for Alliance for Greater Good's annual "Flower Power" event on September 30th.
Thanks to the generosity of Prescott Park gardeners and our enthusiastic volunteers, the Alliance team gathered buckets of flowers in the early morning and transformed them into 32 colorful bouquets for the residents of Wentworth Senior Living and the Edgewood Center in Portsmouth.

Our local seniors in assisted living were so happy to receive these gorgeous arrangements and know that our Seacoast community is thinking of them. We are grateful to Prescott Park gardeners and our volunteers for brightening the day in such a lovely way.
The earth laughs in flowers. - Emerson

Linda Fink, Lisa Vivinetto and Joanne Wolfe, Board Members of the Alliance for Greater Good
