“You've got this, Mama. You are strong, powerful, and loved.”
“Keep going! The small steps you take today are moving you forward!”
“The love of a mother is the best comfort in the world. Happy Mother’s Day in honor of YOU!”
These are just a few messages of encouragement written by our donors and volunteers to new and expectant mothers in residential treatment for substance use disorder at Hope on Haven Hill. https://www.hopeonhavenhill.org/
This Mother’s Day, our community came together big time to demonstrate to these determined women that we value them and support their efforts to build a promising future for themselves and their children.

“We were honored to welcome the Alliance for Greater Good, with the most beautiful Mother’s Day self-care baskets for the women in our program.
Each basket was filled with such thoughtful touches .. These gifts are more than just items; they are reminders to the mothers we serve that they are seen, valued, and deserving of care and kindness.
Mother’s Day can be an especially emotional time for moms in treatment, and your generosity arrived at just the right moment. Thank you, Alliance for Greater Good, for bringing comfort, encouragement, and a little extra light into our community,” Emily Sheffield, Hope On Haven Hill.
Our huge thanks go out to each and every person who donated their time and/or funds to fill our Mother’s Day Self-Care Baskets (actually, diaper caddies donated by the Alliance:)

We are also so grateful to our community partners including White Heron Tea, who once again provided nourishing and restorative teas, and Gather, for their generous donation of self-care items sure to be enjoyed by these new moms, as well as janegee for their thoughtful donation of wonderful Sweet Stick healing balms! We also thank Portsmouth Women’s City Club for their donation of manicure sets and their heartfelt, handwritten cards of encouragement!
Together, we donated over 600 self-care and essential items for these resilient moms at Hope On Haven Hill:
“May you feel supported, loved, and loving. Happy Mother’s Day!”
