Thanks for sharing over 2,000 gifts of warmth!

The temperatures may have been mild for a November day, but families attending Gather’s Thanksgiving Food Distribution event were gearing up with new hats, gloves, scarves, and socks in preparation for the cold weather coming our way.

Food insecure families select new winter hats, mittens, gloves, and socks donated by Seacoast community members, Timberland, and other generous Alliance donors.

Thanks for sharing over 2,000 gifts of warmth!

Over 2000 items were distributed thanks to our very generous donors, Timberland and our Seacoast neighbors.  Bins were filled at the Portsmouth Seniors Activity Center and the YMCA of the Seacoast.  This year items were also collected at the Rye Library and at the New Castle Town Hall.  There were beautiful hand knit hats donated as well as thermal gloves and chunky knitted scarves for those bitter cold days.

Families were so grateful knowing they will be a little warmer this winter season.

“Our members were delighted as they reached the end of the distribution to find your friendly faces handing out warm gear. As we get ready for another cold winter, these items will be vital in keeping our members comfortable and warm throughout the winter! Thank you so much for the work that you all do, and we look forward to pairing with you for many distributions to come!” - Liam Lundt, Operations Director of Gather

Smiles all around as a family receives warm winter accessories.

Special thank you to all who volunteered to make Share the Warmth a success! Whether you helped sort and organize the donated items or helped families select their gifts of warmth, know that your efforts will make their Thanksgiving a little brighter.
